The Ottawa Food Bank understands the impact of hunger in Ottawa and how to address it. Inkline Media has been honoured to aid the Ottawa Food Bank with their web development and digital marketing requirements over the past several years. When it came time to rebuild their website to provide a more mobile friendly experience, they turned to our knowledgeable team of strategy and creative experts to bring it all together. Requirements for the project included food drop off and pick up location maps, a place for staff to post upcoming food drive events, and an online donation portal.
A WordPress powered CMS was built to handle content updates and a custom GEO location tool was coded by Inkline. The ‘Get Help’ page features an easy to use map that can be used to quickly find a persons nearest Member Agency. An event calendar provides staff with the ability to add information about dates and locations for upcoming food drives and community activities related to helping others in need. Working with our partners at Fifty Strategy & Creative, custom videos were filmed and provided to be used on the website. These videos feature stories told by everyday people in our community, highlighting how the Ottawa Food Bank staff and dedicated team of volunteers has helped them move beyond hunger.
